COVID-19: Tours and Visitation Suspended Read More
The Joel Lane Museum House has cancelled tours in response to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
The building called the Kitchen was not originally on Joel Lane’s plantation in the 18th century. Built about 1790, it was located on the Ray farm in northern Wake County and was moved to its current site in 1979. It was actually a middle-class dwelling that housed an entire family. It is similar in design to a colonial kitchen and is so interpreted today.
