“Joel Lane” Reads Mayor’s Proclamation Naming April as Raleigh History Month

Today at noon at the North Carolina State Capitol, Joel Lane, portrayed by Terry Washam, read Raleigh Mayor Charles Meeker’s proclamation naming April as Raleigh history month. In an effort to encourage residents to visit the Raleigh area’s heritage sites, costumed re-enactors from several of the sites handed out the Raleigh Heritage Trails’ new 2010 Passport to passers by.
