Small walnut tripod candle stand of Eastern North Carolina origin. Is of distinctive Carolina design in the fact that baluster shaft is very elongated, with main weight at bottom of shaft and with quite a long and slender neck above it. Base well designed and detailed. Carved pads on feet and little spine up legs. Overall good form of base. Rather unusually large thick top on table. Origin Eastern North Carolina.
